I wasnt sure what the size of the purse would be (could have measured others), but I like the size. I like the pocket on the outside for my phone. Like the smaller size because I carry less. Wish the strap were shorter, but I can work around it.

This is truly a beautiful bag. It is so soft and well made. It smells fabulous! I couldn’t be happier. The strap is very long so it is most comfortable worn cross body. The banana color is really like buckskin. Gorgeous!!!

Absolutely gorgeous bag and practical too. It’s great for a Kindle or tablet, and I love the zipper too for security. I absolutely the burnt red color. The colors are all great, but I wish Frye would also make it in black.

Bought this bag for my niece for Xmas and accidentally sent it to my home address. Wife saw it, loved it, so ended up having to buy her one also. This bag is very high quality and worth the money. In fact, if you are planing on spending a ton on a bag go for the extra cost. You won’t be sorry. Cheaper in the long run, as you will get years of everyday use out of this timeless style. This type of soft leather also ages well, so you’ll be getting the “wow–nice bag” comments for a long time. I usually buy “Coach” for gifts but came across this and I am happy I did. Looks even better than the photo. One other thing. Don’t worry about seeing this on sale after you buy it, items like this, NEVER go on sale.

I really wanted to like this bag but it is just okay. Although the size is perfect for a cross body bag, the strap is too thin and is painful to carry the bag if you have too much stuff inside. Also I wanted the leather to be a bit better quality in terms of feel and thickness. I am keeping the bag because I have bought and returned so many other bags looking for just the right one, so this will have to do for now.

This is a beautiful bag made with great quality leather. And also my second bag, I returned the first one due to the leather at the zipper tearing away from the bag. Zappos was wonderful and exchanged it for another promptly. It is just the right size for moms who are no longer packing their children’s things in their bag. I do have two issues with this purse, one being that the zipper has what I call a dead spot (design flaw) making it tough to close. And the other being the strap, had an extra hole put in it so I could change it to a shoulder bag in lieu of a cross body as needed. Had to get creative in tying up the excess tail, would have been nice if there was a tab on the side to slide the excess through to keep it from flapping freely.

I got this bag for Christmas and love it. The leather is supple and soft and feels like I’ve had it for years! Doesn’t hold much, but it’s not supposed to. It actually encouraged me to streamline my 3 wallets and all the other crap I had in my other handbag. This is a great bag for a casual look, and can be worn year round. I will say the strap is a little long (and I’m 5’8″), but I’ll get into that at the end of my review. Love the bag, but there were 2 flaws with the bag and I’m glad “Lois H’ above agreed with me so I didn’t think I was crazy! For a pricey crossbody bag, you expect even the smallest details to be perfect. First, there is dead spot in the zipper, and it’s a little difficult to get the bag closed at times. The zipper closure could stand to be a little more smooth. I hope this doesn’t get worse with wear or I will return. Second, the strap. I actually logged onto Zappos today to watch the video to see if my bag was missing a little tab or something to hold the extra “tail” after the strap is adjusted to a shorter length. It’s not missing, this is just how the bag is. Glad I’m not alone in feeling that this is a weird over site with the bag. Unless you are super tall you will be adjusting the length of the strap, and the extra tail is pretty annoying. I am also contemplating getting another hole put in the strap if I can find a reputable leather repair shop (it’s seriously ridiculously long), and might also ask at that time if they can add a little tab or something to hold the extra strap. Never had a cross body or nag with a long strap that didn’t have a little loop to catch the extra.

One additional note, at least on my bag, the magnetic closure on the front pocket is not strong at all. I have to really force the closure to stay closed. Not sure if this is just an issue with my bag, or if it’s across the board.

I love the quality of leather and the walnut color. I returned because if you open the zipper all the way, you struggle to get it closed. The outside pocket would have been better if it had been more structured and did not need for the magnetic clasp (which did not stay closed very well). For the price, keep looking.

I bought this purse for my daughter, who is extremely particular about her bags (gets it from her mother). She said it is absolutely beautiful, and the leather is like butter. In 26 years she’s only kept two of the purses I picked out for her. This is one of them. It’s a winner!

This is a beautiful purse! I got the grey one. It was great quality. But…the strap is always (always) twisted because the latches connecting the strap to the bag rotates 180 degrees. I also wouldn’t recommend this if you’re short like me (5’4″). The strap didn’t tighten up enough to make the purse hang naturally on me. It kept slapping my leg when I walked to where I had to hold it. It’s also really heavy, but a little weight is to be expected because it’s leather. The thing I didn’t like about the weight (coupled with the thin strap) is that it created the “boob floss” effect. I carried this for one day before it got on my last nerve. I love the color and the quality, but the comfort and design aren’t worth the price I paid. It’s going back.

Received this purse as a gift and what a gift! The purse has a lot of room for all your stuff, wallet, keys, etc. The leather is soft and color is beautiful (saddle) the bag hangs perfect on the hip, I agree with the other women saying the magnetic closure is hard to make contact, but other than that it is a beautiful purse and may purchase the black too!

Loving this bag. Was worried it was going to be too small, but it’s perfect. The leather feels amazing and smells fabulous too. I’ve been rocking this bag for a month now and it still smells like fabulous leather. I love the pocket in the front. My only complaint is the dangley Frye metal tag sometimes smacks me when I’m walking and the leather fob holding it on is fraying. I think I’ll just take it off.

I searched over a year for this handbag. Cognac soft leather crossbody. This bag is sensational. It checks every box and exceeds expectations. It is comfortable and absolutely beautiful. The handbag is stylish enough for Paris and practical enough for Butte. It dresses up and down. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this bag – except for the strap. It is too long and too narrow and just klutzy. Since I was not willing to give up the bag I came up with a solution. I went online to Mautto.com and ordered an adjustable canvas crossbody strap. It looks fabulous and solved the problem. It was worth spending a little extra (to me). This bag is now perfect!

I LOVE this purse! And I’m very picky about purses – I’ve had my Fossil purse for at least 7 years now with no purse purchases in the mean time because I can’t find one I like. I saw this one in a department store and couldn’t justify the money, but couldn’t get it out of my mind for the next 2 months and finally pulled the trigger after finding it on this website. And I have zero regrets! I bought it in the Burnt red color, which is beautiful and rich, but not too colorful. The leather is sooo soft and smells amazing. The bag is quite big – almost a messenger bag size – which I like. I haven’t had any problems with the strap twisting or the zipper being stubborn. I agree with one previous reviewer that the outer pocket snap doesn’t really stay, but it’s not a big deal. I’m looking forward to another 8 years with this purse!

Beautiful bag. I got the Walnut. I was afraid it was going to be too dark, but it really is beautiful and not as dark as what I originally thought it would be. It is definitely a true walnut color. I don’t understand why people are complaining about the strap length because the strap is adjustable. It has eight holes so it is very adjustable to the length you want. I like mine to hang longer so I have my bag at the longest length. I am 5’6 1/2″ and it hits me at my hip. I don’t think the strap is too thin at all. It also has a shoulder piece on the strap that slides to where you want it for the most comfort. I do agree with the comment about strap always being twisted, but I am a crossbody bag wearer so this does not annoy me as I am used to having to adjust the straps when they get twisted. I think the size of this bag is perfect. I actually find it to be a little larger than I wanted as I tend to accumulate a lot of junk in my purse and have been trying to go smaller so my bag doesn’t get to heavy, but have not had an issue with this happening with this bag. I do wish the front, outside pocket had a zipper as it is quite roomy and when my bag tips over or falls off the car seat sometimes the contents in the front pocket slide out even the with the magnetic strap being secure so I tend not to carry to much in the front pocket other than my phone and keys, which is probably more for what it was designed for. This bag is very well made. The leather is very soft and supple. For this price point I have seen other bags that just do not compare to the quality of this bag. The leather does smell amazing. Sometimes they smell like poop, but not this one. It truly smells like real leather. The interior fabric is actually cloth and is thicker, better quality than a lot of bags I have looked at, not that plastic, nylon stuff that gets all bunched up. The hardware seems very durable. The zippers are bigger, durable, higher quality. Overall, I love this bag and absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes this style of bag. If you are looking for a gift for someone, I would not hesitate or worry about purchasing this one for them.
