Oke R –
Very disappointed. The package arrived so damaged and my shoe box was falling apart. The boots looked worn and had scuffs on them. Quality control needs to be better with the price point of these boots.
Cesarine S –
Boots were one of many Frye boots I have bought. Nothing like previous years. Toe box looked like clown shoes. No idea what I was sent?!?
Amy –
I loved these boots for the first three months I had them. They are so comfortable and go with many different types of outfits. Last night the rubber part of the heel fell off and I ended up walking on them so the leather wrapping (I think) is shredded now. Im so disappointed in the quality of the heel. I love Frye boots and have pairs that are almost 20 years old, but the quality of these particular boots is very disappointing.
Leslie –
These boots are a must have! Im usually a size 6. 5 And ordered a 6. 5. They fit me just about right But they were a little tight and I wanted them to be a slight bigger so I could be more comfy in them so I ordered a 7 and it was perfect especially with thick socks. Love these boots

Stiff and hard leather…very difficult getting my foot down into the boot (although this was my normal size), the hard top of the boot pushed down very uncomfortably on the top of my foot. No way could I wear these….returned to the UPS store within the hour. REALLY disappointed as I was expecting much better from a Frye boot!

So clunky and heavy, I don’t know how you could walk around in these when the creases painfully dig in to your skin. Front half of the foot was narrow but my heel was slipping out for both sizes I ordered. I liked the style more than the campus boot but this was too uncomfortable
Aimee –
Very comfortable, can wear these on game day
Taylor –
These Boots are beautiful buttery leather. I have very narrow heels so there’s a little heel slippage but nothing that heel grips can’t help. I wanted the campus 14 L but they didn’t fit at all, they slapped against my calves and for $500 that can’t happen. But these are a wonderful consolation to those. They are very comfortable and break in pretty quickly in my opinion. I love them!
Elizabeth –
These boots are beautiful and such amazing quality. I have shapely calves and the pull on smoothly with plenty of room
Heather –
At first I gave these 5 stars but after only wearing maybe 5-6 times the rubber on the bottom is coming off!!! Its like theres no glue at all and I wore in dry weather, theyve never been wet!!! Im so disappointed that the quality with these are not like my other Fryes bought pre-COVID. Ive owned over 20+ pairs of Fryes in all kinda of styles and am sad to see quality hurt like this:(((
Barbara F –
I bought in black and they were comfortable right out of box! My calves are on the larger side but not enough for a wide calf bootthese pulled on perfectly. Stitching on the sides is a nice detail and boots can be dressed up or down. Highly recommend!
Jennifer A –
Beautiful boots, you can see see the quality in the leather. Unfortunately there is no zipper and little give so I couldnt even get my foot in the boot past the ankle. Not sure if I ordered a size to small, 7. 5 maybe I shouldve sized up. Unfortunately now I have to lose $12 for a mail in return
Sabrina O –
For the price, my heel shouldn’t lift and the structure shouldn’t slouch. Size down.

I was very excited to get these boots (ordered from Frye. com via Nordstroms). They came well packaged in a Frye logo box. I unpacked the boots and when removing the packaging, from the toe box of the right boot, a dirty black sock pulled out with the packing. This was disgusting and not acceptable considering the $400+ price point. I was also surprised to find the Frye care card had multiple spelling errors?! Is Frye/Nordstrom selling counterfeit product?
Patricia K –
These are beautiful boots and they are true to size; however, they are really heavy and clunk when I walk!
BearClaw H –
I have normal sized calves, never needed wide calf boots and these are just barely wide enough for me. Even another half inch would have made them closer to perfect. But otherwise, I adore them and they are my second favorite boots in my closet.
Lana –
I had these boots for less than three months before the heels/soles started falling off. They are bad quality for the price. Im very disappointed
Paula –
I was very excited to buy these because I loved the look of them, with a less casual look then the campus boots. I was VERY disappointed to see that they are not made in the USA as expected, but made in Mexico. The leather is rather thin and cheap and they are not up to the standard I would expect from Frye, and for the price paid.
Lora R –
I bought these for my daughter, she loves them and they are even cuter in person, if that is possible.
Eva A –
Cute but the fit is funky. Buy in person because sending back cost. I have given up buying online. I have sent back twice trying to find the right fit. I love them but will go in person to try them on with it costing $12 each time.
Sabine W –
Calf is wide and slouchy–nothing like the Campus boot. I am a runner so I don’t have particularly narrow calves but I could still tuck jeans into these. . . but I didn’t like the way the suede fabric bunched at the bottom. Sole stitching looks cheaper than I’d expect for this price.
Judi K –
Bought the black suede first. My usual size. Love these they go with everything dress them up dress them down. Had to have them in dark brown. They were back ordered. I signed up to find out when they were available. Got the email that they were ordered and they arrived very quickly -love them perfect style. Perfect service -very pleased.
Mel –
super cute and comfy. i could literally walk all day in these
Remington –
Wanted to love these, but I’ve worn them less than 10 times and the bottom of the heel is already becoming unattached. They’re a lot cheaper in quality than what the price is
Lisa B –
I ordered my Kates in my usual size. The Nutmeg of the size 7s were perfect in color but I returned them for a 6. 5. The 6. 5 fit perfectly but the color was not the Nutmeg that I ordered. The color was Bark. I sent them back and told them the fit was good but the color was not the same as the Nutmeg size 7. I sent those back in hopes that I would receive the color of the original Kates I received. No to that. The third pair looked just like the second pair and not the color Nutmeg that I ordered online. I was told these boots were in the range of the Nutmeg. I even sent a photo of the boots to no avail. I relented and am keeping the Bark color boots. Not happy and I will stay away from online orders for Frye products. I live in a rural area and online orders are usually no problem.
