I received this boot for Christmas 2024 from my husband and when I tried them on the ran1-1. 5 sizes too large from my usual size 9. Unfortunately he did not realize they were a final sale and cannot be returned. I would have hoped Christmas presents would be available for return regardless of reason! Buyer beware!

Yes, the soles ARE very smooth when they are brand new but they are so cute! And after a couple of walks on the sidewalk traction is much better.

It was difficult getting my foot inside the shoe because the bottoms are so smooth my foot kept sliding. I love Frye boots for 40 years, but these I had to return .

I could not even get this bootie on my foot. I am always a true 7.5 and ordered that size. I think you would have to go up a full size. I can’t tell you how they felt. But, I love the Frye brand for its aesthetics. I was prepared to pay double for the look and feel of Frye, but am returning. I bought the Clarke’s which are half the price, have a dual zipper, and feel really nice. They look almost like the Frye, but of course, not quite. But given the price and fit, I’ll be very happy with the Clarke’s.

Usually take size 8 in Frye but in this shoe 8 was too big. The 7.5 fits perfectly.
Nice looking shoe, but they dig into ankle at zipper. Will keep and hopefully will break in over time.

I have narrow bony feet, wear Frye for years, and the toe-box on these are horribly tight – to the point to say it was painful for more than a few minutes on baby toes.

I absolutely LOVE these boots. the are comfortable right out of the box for full day of wear. the leather is soft and supple. they run large, so I ordered a half size down. I have a narrow foot, so this might not work for a wide foot. I have plantar fasciitis and there is room for my orthodox. the heel is low and comfortable. this is my second pair of frye boots, and I am totally satisfied. they’re a bit pricey, but worth it.

This is a classic, well-made bootie, and I was so excited to find it on sale. However, there is no grip support on the bottom of the boot, and it was VERY slippery, even walking on carpet in my home to try them on. I’m returning it.

Beautiful boot, but sizing is runs big (for me). I wear a 6 in everything…except Frye. My tall boots are all 5.5 and fit me great. For these, I let myself be thrown off by other people’s and ordered a 6, but they are too big for me. Too bad about the back-and-forth, because it turns out 5.5 is my size in these ones, too.

I’m flat footed & have orthotics, so I can’t comment on arch support. The boot are beautiful but my problem was that the front cut into where my leg & foot are joined. Ouch. I have to return them.

It is a lovely pair, quality leather, and it is true to size. I purchased the 6. 5 size and unlike other reviews, I dont have problems getting my feet into them. However, there is no traction on the outer sole that gets in contact with the ground or the gas pedal of the car. It is quite slippery, and that makes me uncomfortable driving while wearing the shoes. I hope Frye considers safety in their future designs.

Got this on sale and did not realize that I put the wrong size in on accident. Apparently, you cant return sale items and have to try to resell them on their exchange site. No one wears a 5. 5 shoe so it has been over a month and they have not sold. I feel like I am stuck with a pair of expensive shoes I will never wear. The shoes themselves are gorgeous, but I will never buy from Frye again.
